Welcome to the Starlite Dance Club site. We are a group of people who have come together for the clear purpose of promoting fun and fellowship through ballroom dancing. Our goal is simple and we invite you to share in the pleasure of ballroom dancing with us. Starlite’s first dance was in June, 1990, and we have been dancing together ever since.We typically try to have ten dances a year with live bands or DJ/CDs. Most dances are held at either the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center (JDCAC) at 222 E. Drake Avenue, Auburn, Alabama, or the Lexington Hotel, 1577 South College Street in Auburn. Dances are 7:30 - 10:15 PM unless otherwise noted.
Membership fees are $175 per couple which covers entrance fees for all of our dances. Singles are eligible for membership with partner, but the cost is still $175 (for two people).
Guests are welcome but are encouraged to join after two visits. Members of other area ballroom dance clubs have unlimited visiting privileges. Guests may join Starlite at any time during the year and fees are prorated. Guest fee is $25 per couple for band dances and $20 for DJ/CD dances.
